It's hard to believe somebody would post this from their official government account...

Edit: Now hearing that he deleted the tweet, but multiple people have confirmed that it was real.
I’m guessing port au prince isn’t on the expansion horizon anytime soon?

/neither is New Orleans apparently

Every attendee gets a complimentary roll of Kirkland plastic wrap :D

I'm 100% positive this is not a Costco, but it certainly has that warehouse look and feel.

Oh god the MAGATs are now boycotting Coke over something that was fake. :L

Seriously, all of those gravy seals need to boycott Coke for other reasons.

A company that is importing goods from a foreign country with a tariff has to pay that tariff (tax) and then will just jack up the product price by the tariff amount (and likely substantially more) passing that cost on to the paying customer.

Tariffs do make sense if you feel that a country is dumping product (automobiles, steel, lumber etc.) at a cheap price and you are looking to encourage customers to buy American. However, if there is no real American product equivalent, then it's just an additional cost that you're passing on to the consumer.

Depends on the product. If it’s something made elsewhere without a tariff then they have to compete with that producer. If they jack up their prices that isn’t going to make anybody buy their product if there are alternatives.

Which is why Biden putting a tariff on Chinese cars makes a lot of sense. Well that and the whole they’re an evil empire trying to spy on us constantly thing.
