I can get on board with that. He was not ready to play call last year IMO. Some stupid calls in red zone and first down run plays 90% of the time. Not a fan of Moore, but we will see.

I would be very surprised if Moore didn't call the plays. I think McCarthy will have input and be extremely involved with the game plan and in-game adjustments institute his new methodology he has been touting, but I think Moore will keep calling plays

yeah I wanted to keep moore if McCarthy agreed, but other than that I wanted to clean house in the coaching staff.
So it is all good to me.

I was most disappointed with losing Kitna. I think he was exactly what Dak needed and played as big of a role in Dak's year as anyone. I was also disappointed with losing Nussmeier. From everything you read he seems like a good offensive mind. I'm not sure being a TE coach is his forte' but he hasn't had much to work with there to judge him on

Well this is both a "damnit to hell" and a "YES!" for me. The guy isn't some sort of genius but he knows how to coach up the secondary to be looking for the ball and not the man.

Same. I think McCarthy will call the plays and Moore will be an advisor and craft the plays. But it will be Mike in Dak's ear.

I'm ok keeping Moore but his responsibilities need to be and will be shrunk.
A couple of years learning the OC position will do him wonders

Yeah. A mixed response from me as well. Don’t know how well he would mesh with the new regime though after having the autonomy he had under Marinelli. I’m sure that had a part in whatever decision making process took place.

yeah I liked both of those as well. Also know Brown (RB coach) was popular with the players.

Also figured most would be gone because the HC needs to make it his team. as long as Lee when he retires goes straight to LB coach I am cool I guess.

Love keeping this guy. I think he is a future OC. A little worried about his technical ability as a QB coach though. Moore was a horrible QB coach but a good offensive mind. Just because you can play the position and know Offense doesn't mean you can be a QB coach. You need a little bit more of a technical mechanics guy too.

Kitna likely rubbed McCarthy the wrong way. Likely goes back to his days as QB of the lions.. kitna could be very arrogant

I am all for making witten TE coach. Witten knows how to bend the rules, but rarely gets flagged

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said he wants to build offense off the success they had last season with Kellen Moore and Dak Prescott. They will use the same terminology but it be his west coast system.

Already starting to fall in love with Big Mac.
