We may have learned how to bring good coaches in but do we know how to keep them? We shall see.
We can only hope Babcock can/will do something about that.
The problem for paying our position coaches real well is guys like Bud Foster, TG, and potentially Leofller will need big raises.
We can't pay our OL coach $350-400k if our top of the line DC is making 450k. Give bud a raise to 700k and then you can bump everyone's salary up too.
Just for comparison, this is what some programs in our region pay their OL coaches (nifty link at the bottom). For the first contract, 265 might be a bargain. It's pretty clear to me though that we should expect to pay up for proven success at our level.
