I would figure he'll be in higher than expected demand, especially for a retread.

He's got to want the Pats job, right?

Hell, if the Pats don't get Bill's situation figured out quickly, they could lose out on Vrabel.

He must want it for ownership/GM, not the roster. Not a step up in terms of roster IMO.

Talk about a raw deal.

Smith was handed a complete shit roster and, shockingly enough, he couldnt win with it.

A coaching staff of Bill Walsh, Bill Belichick, Don Shula and Vince Lombardi all in their prime couldnt turn that Atlanta roster into a quality team.

And yet somehow the GM kept his job but Smith lost his.
With respect Ducky that coaching staff ^^^^^^^^^ might put a winning record on the field with an expansion team.
I 100% get your point and the GM should have been given his walking papers also

The GM gave him 3 elite offensive prospects who he failed to properly utilize. Now, the lack of QB is on the GM as well, so...yeah lol.

Looks like the Panthers are also looking for a GM. That owner really needs to get his shit together. He needs to hire and put actual football people in football positions and stay out of the football decisions and in the money and marketing decisions. If he doesn't he might become Snyder Jr.
Might become Snyder that guy needs ran out of the NFL already just like little danny

Seriously, they could have held on to him and got draft capital for him from a team (IE...New England when Belichick leaves)

worthless, hopeless and LAZY franchise

That dude is not a bad coach. At no point did it appear he was in over his head or lost control of his team. I guess the Titans want to go in a new direction, which I'm guessing is down...or worse than they are and have been under his tenure.

I don't think he'll be unemployed for very long.

Yup lol

Like I said

Dumpster fire of a franchise

One thing that does come to mind in the Parcells and Belichick mold is the "shop for the groceries". If Vrabel wants to coach and be GM, I just don't see that happening or being realistic. He should probably be honest with himself and realize that he's the coach. Let the GM and scouts do their jobs and he does his job instead of trying to do all the jobs. I believe the head coach GM dual role should probably be over.

He didn’t want to be gm

But he did want more say

His choice for gm wasn’t picked

But I still don’t see ne giving him the same power after dealing with Bb at the end here

You're probably right. He's probably going to get the pick of the job he wants, but I'm guessing the hesitation on any organization to hire him is his penchant to make a grab for power, or at least that perception. Whichever team lands him will be getting a very good coach. They're probably going to need to have a GM that he will work with and buy into their concept, or their ideas mesh so they have an actual plan that they're both working on together. He is a guy that I'm sure you could build something with if you're working to the same goal, and ideas along the way.

The Titans probably have another rebuilding year ahead of them. Maybe two. The team was reliant on Henry and Hopkins. The previous GM kinda left the team bare. Titans going Vrabel a solid

He’s also a loyalist

He promoted coordinators from within with bad results

His gm choice was an internal guy

And he stuck with tanny despite all evidence to the contrary

But he is a good coach

The gm needs to have power though

I think you might be right, although Harbaugh will push for it (not the official role as GM, but will demand more power from that GM before signing with a team).

I see college football becoming more attractional to NFL coaches as it continues to get bigger. It's a different dynamic, but it pays more than the NFL and you often have a lot more power. I imagine that it is much more time and energy consuming though.

Titans fired head coach Mike Vrabel.
Vrabel, 48, is done in Tennessee after back-to-back losing seasons. Vrabel’s Titans went 13-21 over the past two years after they were 41-24 in his first four regular seasons with the team. Hired in 2018, Vrabel oversaw a conservative, run-first Titans team that made a Super Bowl run in 2019 with Ryan Tannehill under center. Tannehill’s red-hot play fell off in the subsequent years and a once-vaunted Titans defense proved vulnerable. Uneven play from rookie QB Will Levis in 2023 wasn’t enough to save Vrabel’s job. He’ll surely land elsewhere as a head coach this offseason as the Titans start from scratch in what will likely be a painful years-long rebuild.
Man. The titans are stupid.
They have now earned all the BS they are about to experience.

Should be excellent news for the Pats though. I think he would be a perfect coach for them.
Think he would take Henry to the pats with him LOL
