So what is the best head coach job opening?

LA Chargers - have a QB, oldish roster
Seattle - stable franchise, you could build something here
Las Vegas - would be higher, but no QB and interim probably has the job
Atlanta - need a QB, plenty of talent on O at skill positions, could build something
Tennessee - age caught up with them in a hurry, unstable QB, not sure how stable franchise is
Washington - Might take a while to get over Snyder's disaster, stadium a mess, new owner might be ok
Carolina - For the 2025 1st pick in the NFL draft, I throw a drink in your face and fire my new coach after 8 games with no talent on the roster, it's the Carolina Panthers on the clock...sounds like a great time...if you're insane

I put them in my order, what's yours.

Do you think any more join the ranks of the unemployed? I don't, unless something really strange happens
Chargers the only one with a good qb

Ok, how do you rank the rest of the jobs and will any more come open this off season?
I think your ranking is good. Chargers should be far and away the best opening. You should be in playoff contention every season with Herbert.

All the gum stores in Seattle are in trouble...

You're not gonna believe this, but Seattle has a gum wall.

It's pretty gross.

Quin sucked as a head coach and that is why he got fired. Doing it again in Seattle will make him better the 2nd time around?

Gee, if only there was a topical example of a coach getting another chance and absolutely killing it...

How many examples of coached getting 2nd chances and failing like they did the first time do you want me to get?

Why don't you start with a list of successful coaches who have never been fired from anything?

Better yet, I'll provide it for you:

1.

/End of list.

There are actually plenty

Shula and Lombardi and Chuck Knoll for starters

Good coaches to not blow large leads in Super bowls

Guess it was too much to ask for someone from a relevant era, but regardless...

Using your own logic, it doesn't matter because there have been bad 1st time hires, so there can't be good ones.

I'm not confident you're getting the point here, but your original logic was dumb.

Tier one (1st I would jump at)
1. SD Chargers -1 Only team with already a QB.
2. Atlanta Falcons - If the new regime has an idea what they want to go after for QB, this could be possibly #1 spot.

Tier two (I would take)
3. Tennessee - If you believe in Will Levis. Although I think the Front office is about to fuck up this team. (So they could drop in rankings)
4. LV Raiders - If they got their (owner) money woes under control. This team has potential & could move up past the titans in my rankings

Tier three (Looking if I didnt want to turn down a HC job)
5. Seattle Seahawks - Long in the tooth for key players & I think on the downward slide, but an over confident coach wouldnt be afraid to take on this challenge.

Tier four (Dumpster fire, take job to break into Head coaching for newer peeps)
6. Washington Redskins - Inexperienced owners, could go either way (major unknown) Team is in disarray, but new coach might get lucky.
7. Carolina Panthers - Absolutely zero good things to say about taking this job. (if we had a tier below dumpster fire they would be put there)

At the top:
If I knew I could get Kirk Cousins I would take the Falcons job.
Chargers have a QB, but they are used to losing with him.

At the bottom:
The Titans job is worse than the Panthers job. Titans are looking up at young QBs in their division and the whole team was built around the lines and Henry. Henry is gone, the lines have bled talent and the secondary is missing. There is nothing to start from. Are you really going to motivate and XOs better than Vrabel?
The Panthers have money and a clean slate. Bryce Young hasn't fully busted yet, but if he does chances are you'll get to pick your own QB next year.
