Jason Garrett is, IMO, glaringly absent from that list.

Not sure if Reid will ever be in the hot seat...

Too early for Frazier and Shurman IMO...

he is mentioned on the Wild Cards...

Yeah, I did see that and should have been more specific with my comments - my bad. I don't think he is a wild-card at all. IMO, Garrett is gone if Dallas doesn't make the playoffs.

Turner has been on the hot seat for years. This could finally be the year he gets fired, but i think him and A.J. Smith go together if so. Frazier is the most likely to be cut. He's in arguably the toughest division in Football with a 2nd year QB to compete with Rodgers, Stafford, and Cutler. He's got his work cut out for him. Shurmur is in a similar situation with the Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals to compete with. With a new owner i can envision that he is going to want to start over. He is probably the one guy to get fired who doesn't really deserve it quite yet, but he's in a tough situation.

The HC candidates should be very interesting. I have a feeling Fangio and Roman will be getting some interviews. If Fangio goes and Rex Ryan gets fired i would be curious to see if he would get an interview with us. I know I'm talking crazy, but wouldn't that be interesting?

I don't know if anybody watched the video with Marcellus Wiley picking his 6 playoff teams, but wtf is he thinking? He has the Panthers winning that division with the Saints and Falcons both missing the playoffs? He also had the Packers, Bears, and Lions all making the playoffs to edge out the Giants with the Eagles back in the playoffs (obviously he thinks Vick can stay healthy). How do some of these guys get to keep their jobs?

I can see Fangio garner some interest for HC in the NFL, but Roman might not get much interest in the NFL level generally because, right or wrong, people will always equate the Niners success to the defense. Critics normally points to the defense as opposed to Alex Smith and the offense for the 13-3 turn around last season. Roman did get some interest in the college level after last season. Another 49er assistant that could be on the short list for HC job is ST coordinator Brad Steely (sp)

Yep! He interviewed for the Colts HC vacancy last year - As our Assistant HC and with Harbaugh shaking his pom poms for Brad - Another year like last year and he could be gone. The only thing I see holding him back is his temperament – he has a nasty temper.

From what I've gathered so far Roman has gotten more buzz/interest than Fangio has as far as a HC position goes, both on the college and NFL levels. It feels like it's only a matter of time before Roman bolts for his own project at the college level.

In addition to Seely (not Steely), I could see Tom Rathman getting an opportunity to interview as an OC. The one that NEEDS to be mentioned more than anybody else is Jim Tomsula. A number of people have mentioned him as a possible candidate and somebody that's been on the rise in the coaching ranks for a while. He'd be one of the first guys I'd personally look at if I were running team and only knew what I know now.

Oh, wait a minute. Tomsula coached in NFL Europe. On second thought, nobody would ever want him because how could he be any good. He'll be with the 49ers as long as he wants and is wanted. Right, Nonsense? :)

Wasn't Reid on the hotseat last year when the Eagles were nowhere near their expectations of being the best team in the league? I thought the media and fans in Philly were calling for his head
