Have already given up 8 runs against the Tigers tonight.

They are good for nothing.

Rangers need to win out.

Yea, thankfully the Angels are in tank mode and but unfortunately Lewis has been shaky. The O will have to beat around the Angels pitching these last two nights.

Lewis doesn't look too bad bad tonight, walked the leadoff man and got beat up by Angels small ball in the 1st inning,

Didn't see Burjos hit to the gap, but I'm assuming he made a mistake in the zone there

But has pitched well otherwise

I just saw it on MLB.com's replay - it was hit pretty well to the opposite field gap. And Hambone saved him another run with a great sliding catch.

Lewis was brutal for the most part. Angels just watched those 88, 89 mph meatballs float right down the middle of the plate over and over. His slider has been working well though but his fastball location has been pretty terrible. Angels just have a weak offensive team in this game. I don't want to see Lewis starting any games this postseason unless it is against the Cardinals in the WS then I hope he starts 1, 4 and 7. LOL!

After watching the first couple of innings I was going to be shocked if Colby got through 5. He seems to have straightened this up and I hope he can go 7 or 8.

Also, if my earlier post seemed critical of Colby I apologize. His location is very suspect but the thing is when you watch him walk off the field you can tell the man is pitching big league ball and is having a hard time walking. His hip injury apparently is much worse than we've been led to believe. The guy is a total gamer. Just don't think he should be pitching injured in the playoffs. He just isn't as effective as he would be if 100% regardless of fastball velocity.

Yea, I have a feeling he's pitching injured, too (like Feldman last year). Unfortunately, that doesn't help us this year. Hopefully, he can battle out there cause Wash loves the guy, but I don't trust him right now.

If you look at the numbers across the board the only 2 things that jump out as different than last year is the increase in HRs allowed, 21 to 35, and a downtick in K's, 196 to 169 in the same number of starts, and almost exact number of innings (201 to 200.1)

Lewis' periodic loss of velocity, IMO, was his undoing, just a few too many "fastballs" coming up to the plate at 86-87

More HRs, which not coincidentally account for most of the extra runs he gave up this year and his bump in ERA from 3.72 to 4.40
