Yup his 2016 Cap Hit would be $6 million if we matched it. No way the Broncos can afford that for this year. Well I guess time to really go crazy scouting RB's for this draft.

Haha and everyone thought it would be the defense that would get picked clean!

It is easy to see how teams give themselves salary cap problems - good discipline on the part of the Broncos - and a boat load of draft picks on the way.

I like CJ, but to think he is not replaceable is wrong

Our offense was pathetic at times last year - we totaled a Super Bowl low 197 yards - CJ was a part of that ..

Again, a lot of things fell right for the Broncos last year ... We cannot expect the same success unless changes are made

I am looking forward to change

Best of luck CJ, you were a great guy for the time you were here

Not CJ related, but does this mean we try to get Hillman back now? It'd be nice to have one back (I know we have Juwan, and I personally like him alot) with some good in game experience coming back next year instead of going into the season with nothing but drafted RB's.....unless we scoop a FA. I just think we could probably get Hillman back dirt cheap. Anybody heard of any offers thrown his way?

Yes - I think Hillman's chances of staying went up - with CJ's contract. The Broncos are reportedly talking to Alfred Morris as well.

Mingo is right looks like the Broncos if CJ is gone will try to bring in Alfred Morris. Very good option as he knows the system and had more success in this system than CJ or Hillman by quite a bit.

Miami just drafted Ajayi. His knees must be worse than thought

My guess is it has more to do with losing Lamar Miller and with Gase getting a familiar face in his offense. CJ is known as a highly intelligent player and since he already knows Gase's system he can help train up some of the other guys. Kind of like us bringing in Owen Daniels in he was able to help players understand why Kubiak was wanting to do what he did.

Can't imagine Morris won't be seeking more than what CJ offer from Miami is. Just don't think Morris is much of an upgrade over CJ. Similar style. IMO of course.

How about Bibbs. Maybe Denver really likes him.

I think they do but they are running thin,no pun intended. Even if CJ comes back they need help/bodies.

Sorta funny that CJ signed an offer sheet with Adam Gase team..

Gase called him fat earlier in the year.

Bibbs and Thompson are both Zone RB ...

Kubiak said Thompson needed to stay healthy
