Really? I'd have imagined it was more than that...sure seems that way.

He gets out of it an DOESN'T have 6 blown saves, and we Win instead, then those 6 loses become wins and M's are 12 games over .500

I can't remember and I'm sure it was covered before but is the majority ownership going to have the deep pockets as the Nintendo dude? Still not too stoked that the guy was afraid of competing with the Sonics.

I basically feel the same as nothing could be worse than how Howard and Chuck were running the team with someone else's money. I'm just skeptical about his stance on the whole arena idea, it seems he was scared too to compete with basketball. I guess being a Mariners fan for so long I have a little bit of skepticism in me.

Moving Diaz to the closer role is the last effort to try and climb back in the hunt. Fact is it is far fetched that this team will make the playoffs and who the closer is doesn't matter.
At least Diaz will get a chance to close in low pressure situations.
