Cinci has a solid defense and and a young up and coming offense. AJ Green, Eifert, Gresham, Bernard...

And its not like NE has been crushing people this year

Maybe you aright, but that "young up and coming offense" having scored only six points last week would make me reluctant to take the Bengals -2.

And I wouldn't dismiss Blount's ability to run the ball. Between him, Riddley, and Bolden, I think NE can run pretty well.

I figured when the Pats got him that he could be a valuable under-the-radar acquisition. I was kind of hoping that Denver might go after him before the Pats got him. He has been productive when he's gotten caries throughout his career. Decent speed and a very powerful runner.

One thing that may skew the stat. Most of the time Wilfork is off the field it has been a blatant passing situation, and the defensive calls have reflected that. The patriots have no issue giving up a 10 yard run on most third and 20s.

I understand all stats can be skewed one way or another and yes he was out most passing downs but I just am wondering how well the rush defense will be in his absence. I think they can still be successful against the run as scheme wise they can cover up some of the loss of Wilfork but just interested to see how that all works.

I'm actually a big Blount fan myself, picked him up in all of my fantasy leagues. I am confident that the Bengals will at least make the game go down to the last 5 minutes of the game. Away games are hard in the NFL and that should be the difference in the game

Anytime you're under a 2 point favorite at home it is basically a pick em.

Anything under 3 means that Vegas perceives the visiting team to be superior but they give 3 points to the away team automatically.

It will hurt. I absolutely agree with that. You can't pretend Wilfork wasn't an elite guy at the position.

I'm just saying I don't know how much I like that stat. If compared by situation, I would see more value.
