Glad for the win. Wasn't a good 4th quarter.

Wasn‘t a good 1st quarter - 34-25 deficit. We outscored them in the fourth quarter 30-26.

Yes, but it wasn't a convincing 4th quarter outscore. They Jazz took the lead and had a multiple possession lead before they started missing free throws and doing other bad things to make it a one possession game. Can you find out the probability of winning when they had their largest lead in the 4th, then again what it was at some point in the final minute?

They just wanted to show that they could win a close game. I forgot who it was, it might’ve been Deron Williams, but they asked whether it was frustrating to lose close games. That’s a stupid question just looking for a quote, because it obviously is, but the response was funny. He said that when they’re up by five maybe they should spot the opponent a three pointer so they can win a close one.

Time was not on the Mavericks’ side and the Mavs scored at a lower rate than time required. Likelihood of victory for the Jazz went up despite Dallas getting closer:

Only 13 teams have a .500 or above record. 12 above. Is that normal? I wouldn’t expect more than 16 in a year due to 30 teams.

18 in 2017-18 and 201–16. 13 in 2019-20.

Thanks.

I guess the probability got higher even though the score got closer.

As I said though, I didn't like how the score got closer.
