I don't agree. To the average person in the Bay Area, they only know Chris Culliver as "that football player who made those homophobic comments." It provides a frame of reference. I'm not saying that's all he should be known for, but the reality is that that's the one thing about him that drew national news coverage. It's going to follow him for awhile.

It's not quite the same thing. And not just because I never went on the radio and said I hate jellyfish and they are not welcome in the oceans in which I swim.

But again, whether you agree or disagree that his statements SHOULD HAVE made national news, they DID make national news. As such, introducing Culliver based on that is completely fair. It's the thing he is best known for.

This sucks. Our greatest area of weakness just potentially became even more so. Lame! This just makes me want Verrett or Fuller in the first round even more. It would be amazing if we could find a way to get both.
