Let's compare the two best College football coaches of the last 4 years. I will go 4 years back because That is the only amount of time Chip has been a head coach.

If you just became an AD today and had to pick one of these coaches to direct your program for the next 6 years, who do you take?

Chip Kelly:
-49 years old
-Posted an impressive 46-7 record at Oregon in 4 seasons
-4 straight BCS bowls
-1 National championship appearance
-2-2 in BCS bowls
-Elite recruiter

Nick Saban
-61 years old
-68-13 overall record at Alabama
- 3 national championships

In all honesty, i'd choose Chip Kelly over Saban if I were to build a program right now. Chip has proven he can build a program and he is also several years younger than Saban. Saban is closer to retirement. No doubt with the talent returning at Oregon, Chip is in that NCG.

Nick has very good history, but looking ahead in the future, Chip is the man.

Thoughts?

I think you are crazy. Of these two, I'll take Saban everyday and twice on Saturdays.

don't post if you're not going to post anything substantial at all.

It's a good question. Yes, Nick has several national titles. But if I am looking 4 years from now, I'd rather have Chip Kelly as my coach than Nick saban. Saban will be 65 years old!

I take Saban. There is not a "show cause" attached to Saban. Kelly needs to wait a couple yrs before he can even be considered by a University

These are the two most winningest coaches over the last 4 years in CFB.

If you want to claim Nick Saban as the best, then you most recognize the second best which would be Chip.

It's 18 months....I don't know if it took affect since he left for Philly. But either way, If Chip doesn't work out at Philly, he is guaranteed at least 2 years there. He could be back in college soon, but well after that show cause issue.

You sir, are crazy. Chip isn't the second best coach in the country to begin with, he has taken advantage of a down PAC 12. The bama fans here are major homers but they have the titles for it. The Oregon fans are just sad lately.

It's not even a competition. The only coach that anyone should even consider if they had the pick of the litter over Saban (like him or not) is Urban Meyer. Even then, given Saban's collegiate track record, it's still a stretch to consider anyone else.

OD, get back on your meds or the first Duck loss of the season might end it all...

where do you get off?? Who is out there that is better coach than Chip Kelly? I respect that you pick Saban, ok, but to claim Chip isn't even a second best coach is absurd.

A Down Pac-12??!?! bro, the last 2 years the PAC has sent 2 teams to BCS bowls. If USC wasn't on probation it would be 3 straight years the PAC has sent 2 teams to BCS bowls.

the PAC is the second best conference to SEC. This has been reported several times by media.

Are you really comparing??

Saban has proven winning ships. Chip can barely win a BCS bowl, he is a very good coach that can't get over the top. That is why he went to NFL, he couldn't succeed to the highest level like Saban.

what? Barely win a BCS bowl? Dude lost a NC on a fluke non-tackle which lead to a last second FG. He then beat Wisconsin and Kansas State. Hell, even when he lost to Ohio State in his FIRST season it was a close game caused by a stupid turnover by Blount in the redzone and Pryor had to play a career game just to escape.

I am literally mind boggled at the disrespect Chip Kelly is getting in here.

if Oregon beats Stanford the Ducks are playing Notre Dame in the national title.

what are you talking about? I am making a case for Chip being at least the second best coach in CFB. And I don't see how you can argue against that. IMO, I'd take CHip over Saban if I were to head a program for the next 4 years.

Again, Oregon beats Stanfod, and Alabama isn't even going to the natty last year.

OD, this can't be healthy on many levels. I suggest cheap beer and a good **** site. Works for me and my "Bad Cholesterol" is under 140.

Are you kidding me... I can type fuck, clit and ass juice and p0rn is banned?0

:wtf:

Your argument is that if your coach hadn't lost a game, the other coach wouldn't have made it to the NCG?

And you don't see how people can argue over it?

Unfortuntely this is about to get off topic to a very good question thread. But, someone who is against this, PLEASE show me and give facts on a coach that is the second best coach in college football.
