Double F*ck!! He lost respect from his players. Niners must love getting sloppy seconds. This must mean that Kap is going to stay. Niners do not have the personnel to run his offense. I'm sure Gamble fully endorsed this move.

can't help but second it.

eventually, the fan in me will support the team, but right now i just can't believe it. This also implies Kaep will stay on since York/Baalke STILL think he's it.

this was my biggest concern, so why would 49er players be any different? without the respect of your players, or their total buy in, you can't win consistently.

wondering if York/Baalke got TOO caught up in saving Kaep?

If this was their candidate all along, why did it take so long? He was available BEFORE the season ended, they could've talked to him and gotten all the details worked out?

I too will continue to support the team, but it's getting difficult with the decisions of the FO. I agree that Kap will stay and Kelly hopes that he can resurrect his career. I have my doubts. Torrey Smith just tweeted, "I guess I better start running now to get in shape.'" The defensive players better get in shape since there will be a lot of 3 and out from the offense. Defense will probably be on the field for 40 minutes per game.

Just shaking my head in disbelief Deep. You're so spot on. How can you win consistently without the support and respect of your players? This is:bullshit:

Really?? Niners are overflowing with talent that they fired their HC after one year. A 5-11 team having all the pieces. My hope is that Kelly learned from his mistakes in Philadelphia and would be willing to change in order to have success.

At least some of us have two championship teams to follow in the Warriors and SF Giants. Two out of three ain't bad. This is an impending train wreck

your first mistake was calling your last coach a Head coach.....that guy was not a head coach.

Good lord. Every time I think we can't go any lower, we find a way to do so.

I'm interested to see how this plays out, to say the least. In an ideal world, Kaep is a good fit for Chip's offense.

I would like to see the team target the other major needs (the line mainly) in the draft and stick with Colin one more season. Maybe pick a QB prospect (Taysom Hill?) late. See what Colin can do in a new system (probably awful, but we have so many other needs).
