For a team that keeps its draft picks even if they probably aren't literally the best 53, it makes me think he was a douche in the lockerroom or something. Very unusual... Justin Houston got his deal reworked to open up cap space. Very strange sequence of events

I'm a Notre Dame fan so this is disappointing. I hope what you're saying is not true. Would be extremely stupid on any rookie pick to be a douche in their first year but wouldn't shock me.

Man NFL life comes at you fast lol. 4 months ago he was drafted in the 3rd round thinking no way he would be jobless after week 1 and now this is where we are lol

"He ran his mouth a little more than a rookie should" -@nfldraftscout

Only thing I have been able to find. Would confirm my suspicions of some kind of douchery. He was better than Acker at the very least just for having talent.

He was awful, but it was assumed that had more to do with not knowing the terminology very well, and in fact, the terminology he had at ND directly conflicts with the terminology in KC. Not a reason to get cut, however.

When will he visit Foxboro? Sounds like another castoff reclamation project for BB. If only KC was on the schedule this year the visit would be a done deal. Just a question does he have previous knee injuries? That would make it a stone cold lead pipe lock for BB

Directly coincides with Chiefs adding Dezman Moses back to the roster. Chiefs linebackers played fairly poorly last week with Hali on limited snap count.

They cut a 5th rounder due to Nick Foles coming into the fold. I see no conspiracy. Just got beat out by a 6th rounder (White) who has potential.

Also can't keep a character issue guy around if you have a guy like Hill who needs to really prove himself.

That is REALLY odd for that high of a pick to be released as a rookie. I mean that's Maurice Clarrett type situations (Drinking in practice)..

I've got to think it is something like that.

It's fine if he isn't picking things up, he can cover kicks for a year, but you are on the hook for his salary anyways. And couldn't even move him for a pick too. Really odd. Chip wasted a 2nd round pick on a corner in Philly and at least we got a 5th or something for him from NE.

It's almost got to be something else though that hasn't made it out... Hanging out with gangs, teammates knowing he's doing drugs, fighting with leaders and coaches on the team.

Yeppers I think. Kind of embarassing. Apparently was neither a fit in the lockerroom (was hearin "it") nor much good at his job. Some of his immaturity was known beforehand, but I can't say I care too much with a CB. Especially after drafting a guy like Marcus Peters. Just picked the wrong CB. It's noteworthy he went to another team that has managed personalities well in the Bengals. He very nearly ended up back on the Chiefs PS.

I wonder if an off field issue is on the horizon. Did the Chiefs get wind of something?

Definitely worth the flyer the Bengals took on him. If they can work him, and get him turned around, they'll end up with a 1st round CB in Jackson and then this guy from the 3rd round. Not bad. Certainly helps with the depth since Jackson's injury, but at worst, he'll start off as a special teams guy.
