That's why you always have to run it out. If Soler was running from beginning he probably would have had a shot at an inside the parker

I agree he should've hustled, but he would've been out by a mile. The Indians got the ball back to the infield in about 12 seconds. I figure they could've gotten the ball to home plate in another second or second and a half. The fastest recorded inside the park HR was 13.95 seconds (Dee Gordon), and there's no way Soler is that fast.

I would go Salazar here.

He's got the best stuff left in your pen. And you want that high level velo for Schwarber, who will be batting 2nd.

Only way the Cubs win now is with a Russell walk followed by a Kyle HR. Cubs now a have a 0% chance of winning this game. Goodnight everyone and congrats Indians. That was a spectacular performance by your SP and Miller time.

And if Schwarber just hits a game tying HR?

You still have both of your closers lurking in the pen.

Would the cutoff man have heard the shouts to throw home over the crowd noise though? You can't assume hat he would have assumed the runner would have tried for the inside-the-parker.

Man Shaw is a workhorse but the guy seems to always be flirting with disaster.

Even with no one on it feels like he's about to get jacked.

The cutoff man had his eyes on the plate as soon as he got the ball. With 2 outs, you always assume the base runner could go home. Plus, Soler was the only base runner, so there was no one else to watch. The only chance is if the catcher would've dropped the ball.

So much for the HR. It looked like he crushed it at first but on the replay it just skimmed the top of his bad and was near his hands. Good pitch but he just missed it. Fowler finally gets a hit but with nobody on. I feel like all of our hits have been with 2 outs in this game.

Bryant should've crushed that meat pitch.
