Real talk though, we could use a uniform redesign or change. Our current uniform combinations are some of the ugliest in the league in my opinion. The striped helmet is still iconic, but everything else looks like a mismatch of colors and stripes that only a 12 year old would think looks good. Maybe we'd get some positive mojo if we changed duds?

Truth.

But to be fair, our uniforms have always been ugly.

Why do people care that he's religious? Half the damn league thanks god when they score a touchdown or win a game. Hell, Kitna used to wear a cross hat before the league was purchased by Nike. Being religious does not make you a minority in the NFL.

Because he's a pussy. That's why.

Why are people still talking about Tim Tebow?? How long does he have to be out of football before folks move on? 10 years?

To be fair, it's really just Dan -- He loves him some Tebow.

And also to be fair, some of our fans still talk about DeDe Dorsey.

for as long as NFL GM's insist that QBs like Andy Dalton, Brady Quinn, and Jason Campbell can win playoff games.

I think DeDe Dorsey is working at one of those tire change places now.
he could still be signed as a minimum wage free agent special teamer guy if Cedric Peerman goes down.

We are finally good at RB with Hill, Bernard, and Burkhead.

DeDe never got a good fair chance at the NFL level though. Some guys do not practice well as they need the adrenaline of the game to get them revved.

I was like that when I played baseball. I was terrible at practice. I was lucky to even make the team every year with the way I practiced, but during games, that adrenaline kicked in and I was usually one of the stars of the game. Of course this is pro football and not high school baseball, but regardless, some people rise to the challenge and need the competition to excel. The heat of the moment.

I think DeDe was like that. He could never get a fair shake so he must have been complete crap during practices, but when the lights came on he was always doing something well. Blocking punts, averaging over 7 yards a carry in his NFL career, etc. Maybe he was just a dick and the coaches hated him, no idea.

Dorsey was claimed off waivers by the Indianapolis Colts on September 3, 2006. He played in Super Bowl XLI for the Colts, helping them win, 29-17, against the Chicago Bears. The Colts waived Dorsey on September 1, 2007.

Second stint with Bengals
On September 25, 2007, Dorsey re-signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. As the third-string running back for the Bengals in 2007, Dorsey averaged 8.7 yards per carry after rushing for 183 yards on just 21 attempts. His 45-yard scamper on a forward lateral against the St. Louis Rams was the Bengals' longest run from scrimmage in three seasons. On November 18, 2007, in a game against the Arizona Cardinals, he blocked Mike Barr's punt in third quarter and returned it 19 yards for a touchdown. The blocked punt was the Bengals' first since 1995, and its first blocked for a touchdown since 1989. Dorsey became only the third player in Bengals' history to single-handedly block a punt and recover it for a touchdown.

After week 4 of the 2008 NFL season, Dorsey was placed on injured reserve after pulling his hamstring. He had gained only eight yards on five carries before being injured. Dorsey did, however, have a 36-yard pass reception in week 2 during a loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Dorsey was released by the Bengals on September 14, 2009, after being on the inactive list for the first game of the season.

Las Vegas Locomotives
Dorsey scored two touchdowns for the Las Vegas Locomotives against the California Redwoods in the first ever game of the UFL on October 8, 2009. He rushed for 63 yards on nine carries and 3 receptions.

On November 27, 2009, in the first-ever UFL Championship game, Dorsey rushed 11 times for 66 yards and scored on touchdown runs of 38 yards and 1 yard to help the Las Vegas Locomotives defeat the previously unbeaten Florida Tuskers 20-17 in overtime. Dorsey was named MVP of the game.

Superbowl Champion, UFL Champion and UFL MVP of the Championship game. Did nothing but win.

course, maybe Tebow was just annoying too, maybe DeDe had some annoying stories as well:

"oh shit, Tebow's here, everyone stop swearing, shh shh shh"
"Hey guys, did I ever tell you about the time I scored a 20 yard scrambling TD when the bones in my broken leg was grinding."
"yes Tim, you told us about a thousand times and it's still making our skin crawl"

Indianapolis Colts vs. Chicago Bears - Box Score - February 04, 2007 - ESPN

SB XLI. He had 0 rushes for 0 yards. 0 receptions for 0 yards. 0 kickoff/punt returns for 0 yards. That's a lot of "help".

The guy couldn't block. When you're a RB in the NFL and you can't block, you aren't going to last very long.

when your plan for having a fullback is to put a TE in the backfield, yes, your running bax need to block.

Can Burkhead please gain about 25 lbs?
