Chase Daniel to Backup Trubisky

I love, love, love this...

I've thought for a while that Daniel should get a starting opportunity. I've always liked him and I thought he performed quite well in his couple of starts.

2 years/10 mil

A QB like Trubisky who likes to move, is likely destined to need a spot start (or more... hopefully not) in his place at some point.

Same deal with Bray, but Daniel can maybe sorta win a football game whereas Bray is a disaster.

I'm a Cowboys fan and as much as I dislike Dak Prescott I'd still rather have him at QB than Trubisky.

I mean, at this point, I guess it's easy to say that, as Dak has an extra year on him, but still, I'm not entirely sold on the idea that there is some giant gap in level of play.

I don't see it. I see a guy with every possible trait you could want in a QB, that played his first season on a lousy team, with arguably the worst WR corps in the NFL.
