We are only a game behind the Orioles for the second draft pick next year, and only 4.5 games behind the Diamondbacks for the top pick.

Only worthwhile thing to do now while watching the Rangers is seeing how Baltimore, Pittsburg and Arizona are doing.

I was surprised to see Gibson pitching yesterday and I think he was too. I wouldn’t be surprised to see both traded today

I don't know why they would not have pitched him… The only time they pull players from games for trades is when the trades are a done deal. Keeping Gibson out of the game without a trade in place probably would have sent red flags to everyone and tanked his value.

could be right but if a trade was in the works with say St Louis or any other team,wouldn't they want to insert him immediately into their rotation and not wait 4 or 5 days?

possibly, yes. Either way, only reason Gibson would get pulled from last night would be a done deal or an injury.
