Chances the Pens overtake the Rags?

7th straight win tonight , 6 points back in the division race..and Crosby coming back as early as Sunday.

Pens are lookin fierce right now and IMO are the favs in the East with or without Crosby.

So what are the chances the Rags dont even win this division after leading for basically the whole season?

Under 50 percent. Pens are on a tear but probably will slow down. I do agree with you with them being favorites in East. Plus Henrik will single handedly continue winning games for the rangers and they are solid defensively. Expect 2-1 wins from them.

6 pts is more like 12 this time of year.

I think it's pretty good. It's probably going to come down to the two games they still have against each other. They're 2-2 against each other this season.

Pitt does have a pretty tough schedule to wrap up the season though. 3 games against Philly. 2 against the rangers. 2 against Boston. 2 against us. I think Pitt only has three more games against nonplayoff teams. 1 against buffalo, and 2 against the Isles. Not an easy schedule. Most of this is going to come down to crosby returning. they're ridiculously good without him, with him they're terrifying.

I think in the end, the Rags take the first seed.

I do expect the Pens to slow down, but if they are this hot when the playoffs start, then watch out.

Hopefully they've starting peaking too early.

Can't rule it out since they play 2x more. Pens sweep that in regulation and they are only 2 back.

The Rangers certainly didn't do us any favors lastnight, and they looked real bad in that loss. If the Pens stay hot and the Rangers continue playing how they've been playing as of late it is a very real possibility.

The Sens are a very good team this year..but we have 2 games in hand against em so Im confident we will stay in the 6th position.

Sens could really challenge the Bruins if they matchup in the 1st round. If they somehow drop to 8th (not likely) the Rags would be in trouble.

Better Q, who'll be that 8th seed? Rangers winning is far from a guarantee.

I hope the Jets get the 8th spot..Rags and Pens would beat both the Caps or Panthers for sure. A back and forth trip to Winnipeg would be pretty brutal and the Jets play some really good hockey at home.

Even if they dont upset them it could prove to be harsh on em come Round 2.

I would be shocked if the caps don't get the 8th seed. Tampa and the caps if they got in with stamkos could give some headaches
