OK we are off and running to the race to October and the Giants showed up in Arizona with purpose and desire to show the world that they intend to defend their Title with the same tenacity they showed last year when the chips were in the middle.

Don't fuck with these boys. They have confidence they are loose and oh yeah they got this superhuman lumberjack that don't take any shit from anyone named Bumgarner. A throwback to days past Bum pulled out his six shooter and gunned down the D-Backs for 7 innings only giving up one earned run. He was a little amped up because it was Opening Day but he settled down especially after his offense backed him to a 5-1 lead. Bum earned his first win of the 2015 season.

Aoki,Panik,snd Pagan..the top three hitters in the line up went a combined 8-14 scoring 4 runs and Pagan reached base 4 times on the night.McGehee went 2-3 in his Giants debut. Crawford was 2-4 with 2 huge RBI's to give the Giants some breathing room. The Giants banged out 13 hits ..4 of which were extra base hits ..2 doubles from a friendly sight to see..my drummer ..energy man..Mr.Pagan.

The bullpen was a little shaky but Affeldt got the out of the night in the 8th inning for a big hold. Casilla had a 1-2-3 9th inning to shut down Arizona in the desert for his 1st save of the young year. It was a good team win to open the season and put that first W in the books.

Don't fuck with these boys. Their guns are drawn and they intend to use them to defend their turf. General Chia Pet (Vogey) takes his turn as he draws his steel on the D-Backs Tuesday night replacing Alabama 22 Jake Peavy who has back stiffness.

The Giants win tonight 5-4 showing a stiff upper lip and a kick ass attitude . That's the way Giants fans like it.

They gave Trumbo an error? Realistically, yes. But by the rules, he didn't touch it, so it should be a triple.

The ball doesn't have to be touched for there to be an error - that's a common misconception. The official scorer simply has to decide if "with ordinary effort" the player should have made the play.

Straight from the rule book :

Rule 10.12(a)(1) Comment: {...} It is not necessary that the fielder touch the ball to be charged with an error. If a ground ball goes through a fielder’s legs or a fly ball falls untouched and, in the scorer’s judgment, the fielder could have handled the ball with ordinary effort, the official scorer shall charge such fielder with an error. For example, the official scorer shall charge an infielder with an error when a ground ball passes to either side of such infielder if, in the official scorer’s judgment, a fielder at that position making ordinary effort would have fielded such ground ball and retired a runner. The official scorer shall charge an outfielder with an error if such outfielder allows a fly ball to drop to the ground if, in the official scorer’s judgment, an outfielder at that position making ordinary effort would have caught such fly ball. If a throw is low, wide or high, or strikes the ground, and a runner reaches base who otherwise would have been put out by such throw, the official scorer shall charge the player making the throw with an error.
