True. I hadn't considered that. I've still seen him pitch a fair amount and while I think he's almost there, he still needs to mature a little more. Remember Darvish is a couple years older and been in pro baseball longer.

An exaggeration to say that he sucks,....

Sabathia has a 4.87 ERA over his last 7 starts. Only 3 of those starts have been quality starts. He's given up 9 homeruns. His WHIP is 1.38. Based on what the Fraudkees* need from him, what they expect from him and what he is paid to do, he sucks.

Meh.. id group them together. Not gonna make a big deal about age. Straus has been in the Majors for 4 years now. (Granted he missed a Year due to TJ)

And if he isn't acting like a Carlos Zambrano on the mound..not sure I'm gonna weigh a Maturity difference either. IMO

He'll get his 200 innings this year. and would have came close last year if wasn't shut down..

4.81 ERA over his first 13 starts for Cleveland in 2008. Seem to remember he was pretty good in the second half that particular year...

I hear what you say, though. Whether this is just CC's normal first half struggles, or a prelude to his arm falling off a la Johan Santana is definitely a burning question right now. Watch this space.

FWIW, not hating (see 2008), but my money's on the latter.

I think there is a better chance that he snaps out of it and returns to his 2012 form than Dickey does. He's one of the few Fraukee* players who's success doesn't bother me.

Moore's in the discussion but there are lots of good pitchers now days with less than 70-100 career starts. I prefer to wait and see how they hold up after the various coaches around the league have seen them a few times and get an idea of what type of blueprint to use against them. Moore had a lot of hype coming out of the minors and he has improved dramatically from last year. I guess we should have expected it.
