CBS reports the M's are indeed offering Cano 10 years for $230-$240 million

It couldn't be determined how close the two sides are to an agreement, but the source told ESPNdeportes.com the Mariners let Cano know they are willing to pay him between 230 and 240 million over the next 10 seasons.

Cano asked Seattle for a 10-year, $240 million deal, but the M's apparently came back well below that number. The second baseman is currently on a plane to Seattle to meet with club officials.
