It's fascinating to look back and see what teams did (and didn't do). That was the year Aaron Rodgers dropped to #24 and everyone was supposed to feel sorry for him. I don't feel sorry for any 1st round draft pick in the NFL. The 49ers decided to take Alex Smith #1 and Rodgers slid. 3 of the top-5 picks were RB's (Ronnie Brown, Cedric Benson, Carnell Williams). We won't see that again anytime soon. Adam Jones (aka "Pac-Man") was taken 6th overall. 6 WR's were taken in the 1st round, the last being Roddy White. The 5 before him--Braylon Edwards, Troy Williamson, Mike Williams (USC), Matt Jones, Mark Clayton. G/T Logan Mankins was the last pick of the 1st round. He's done okay (LOL). Some notable undrafted players--Josh Cribbs, Brandon Browner, Cameron Wake, John Kuhn, Chase Blackburn, Nate Washington, Lance Moore. The latest chosen player to make a Pro Bowl was QB Matt Cassel (7-230). Frank Gore was the 6th RB taken (3-65). He became the 20th rusher to gain 11,000 yards. The other two RB's taken before Gore were J.J. Arrington and Eric Shelton.
