• Speaking after Thursday's loss to the Vikings, Redskins interim coach Bill Callahan confirmed Case Keenum (concussion) will remain the starter for Week 9 if healthy.
  Anyone who saw Dwayne Haskins play this evening understands why. Whoever is under center next week will have the thankless job of trying to generate points on the road against the Bills' elite defense.

The worst part?

Our defense isn’t great, but it isn’t terrible. They are a competitive unit.

The offense? Arguably the worst offensive unit in the NFL. QB position is a bad joke, the O line is terrible and there are no pass game options beyond McLaurin.

As long as Keenum and McCoy get the PT we will win another game or 2 eventually. But this is an awful foot ball team. Snyder needs to wake up and fire his BFF.

Case cannot be named the starter. If you listened to Callahan said it was "if Case is out of concussion protocol, then he is the starter. If he is still under concussion protocol then Haskin's will be the starter."

Who cares if we win another game. It's time to prepare Haskins as the starter from here on out to gain as much experience before next season regardless of what we have or don't have.

That’s the thing.

We can’t realistically expect to be good next season either. 2021 is the best case.

Haskins long term development is what matters. And starting him before he is ready is more likely to backfire than it is to help.

Let him sit!
