Carter, Doughty on Team Canada

As the title says, Jeff Carter and Drew Doughty were named to team Canada today. I'll update with full roster shortly

Congrats to both. Doughty was pretty much a shoe-in but Carter was one of he bubble guys. Glad to see him make the squad. That makes 6 Olympians for the Kings. Those 2 plus Quick and Brown for Team USA, Voynov for Russia and Kopitar with Slovenia.

I'm surprised that Richards didn't get the call.

Richards is a center and Canada is pretty solid up the middle with Crosby, Getzlaf, Toews and Bergeron. He isn't going to replace any of those 4.

That's true but he really isn't scoring all that much this year and it's looks like Canada is just going to try and outscore everyone and win their games 6-5. He would no doubt be a better option than some of the wingers on the defensive side though. There are so many talented forwards from Canada it must have been hard selecting a team. You could probably build a pretty competitive team from just the Canada rejects.
