But I do think Russia, Finland, Sweden & USA have an outside shot. I voted for Canada out of reality.

If USA dont compete well ... then I would love a rematch of the Summit Series ... that would just be purely fucking epic!!!!

If one of the canadian goalies gets hurt and they need luongo to play, I doubt they even medal. What a terrible choice.

I'd rather see Luongo between the pipes than Mike Smith, but that said, it should have been Crawford over Smith going to Sochi.

I'm rooting for USA, Finland is my #2 team, after that I don't care who wins.

End of the day I think it comes down to USA v Canada again (hopefully with a different outcome).

Russia will have to win games 6-5 with that D and I don't think they can do that against the US or the Canadian squads.

I like the Slovaks to make some noise as a dark horse...I just dont like the Swedish team even though on paper they look strong

I heard on the radio that the Canada's hotel is an unfinished joke. 3 players to a room the size of a small dorm room, bathrooms with no doors, etc. gotta love the Olympic committee. sochi 2014 and brazil in 2016 are both going to be a disaster

OK ... so now that the prelims are nearly over and the elimination brackets are sizing up. I will give this one a for those that might not have seen it before the Olympics started to get a chance to vote.

Switzerland has been quite a surprise to me ... and Slovenia has played a helluva lot better than I would have ever imagined. Neither will prolly get to the medal rounds but they have have impressed me.

I'm still hanging my hat on Finland. They've got a tough road ahead against most likely Russia and then Sweden just to get to the Gold medal game, but they've shown they can hold their own.

I will say this too ... that USA's stock has gone up with me. They have played better/impressed me more than I thought they would on the world stage. They are a tough team to beat.
