Eerie..... In 2005 Palmer signed an extension and then shredded the left knee. Did history just repeat itself?

Didn't look all that bad, but I guess that doesn't mean much.

That is eerie. He was in so much pain it would have to be something serious

This Cardinals team has some serious guts.... They lose their leader and they turn up the heat on D.

If we did that, we'd just roll over and wait for the whippings.

Who-Dey!

I think I would take Arians over any coach but Belichik

Josh Freeman's available? Rex Grossman?

I don't think they can go with Logan Thomas as a backup

Stanton is an intriguing guy though.... I remember a lot of people liked him out of college and then he got caught up in Detroit and the Jets circus. Playing for Arians is quite a nice change of pace for the guy.

His arm strength looks great on deep passes. Not sure if he's a starting caliber QB though.

Their schedule is murder's row for a QB. One easy game vs Atl.

The rest is Det, KC Stl, 2 with Sea, one against SF who 's getting Aldon Smith back

That D will keep them in a lot of ballgames though.... And they have a good running back as well.

Yea, it's a really good team. I've always liked Palmer more that most people do but he's obviously not a guy who can carry a team to 13 wins in his last 15 starts. Everything else had to be working extremely well.

But the rest of the way was going to be tough no matter who was at QB. Detroit has more talent across the board. If they win that one Arians should get coach of the year handed to him in week 11.

Damn that sucks for Carson. That team is a Super Bowl contender. As much as I hated the way he left Cincy I still like the guy.

Sports Medicine has basically turned the ACL tear into a routine injury. Reggie Wayne is Palmer's age and he came back fine from it and that's as a WR. As long as it's a clean tear and just an ACL he should be ready for training camp.

What a break for Stanton. he gets to QB an 8-1 team into the playoffs. as much as it sucked for Palmer you have to feel happy for that guy

I can't imagine the damage is even near what it was in 2006 when the knee was crushed under pressure. And it's not like he's a guy that relies on his mobility. He should be ready by August -- Unless he uses Atkins doctor.
