Who is Mike Riley?
I see carl leaving as nothing but good. Gets Bo more involved in the defense, and we all know he is the man behind all the good work.
me thinks whoever bo hires, he needs to go back to focusing on the D...we have figured out that, if beck should turn out to be an even somewhat competent OC, with bo focusing on the D, we can win any game
Except against the teams that are better than us (should only be 12-15 in any given year max. Less in other years. I hope. LOL) and teams that have exceptional performances against us. (Only game that comes to mind is Washington in the Holiday Bowl. All other losses in the Bo era were expected)
People can say what they want, but Bo's championship or bust comment before the year started was an asinine and really stupid comment. He needs to keep his comments like that to himself, especially considering we were entering a new conference. Only a bonehead would place pressure on OUR team like that.
I bet a coach like Urban Meyer would never do that.
Bo did the same thing we did. He looked at the tangibles and said this team is gonna rock. Then we actually played a game and he said "Oh shit I am gonna have to carry these fuckers all year."
Bullshit I say if you are not in a championships or bust state of mind you don't belong at Nebraska
Urban would NEVER make a statement like that. The first time his team fell behind he would faint with heart palpitations. He’d be like the handsome version of Jerry Kill.I bet a coach like Urban Meyer would never do that.

Let's put it this way, Urban is smart enough not to make statements like what Bo made. I hope one day Bo learns from this.
Barry Switzer used to publicly talk Big 8 and National Titles every year. He was often correct as that confidence was displayed by his players on the field.
