Price probably will have hall of fame numbers without having ever shut down a team with equal or superior talent in One Game that matters.

The shame of it, he will always have enough to make anyone scared of giving up on him.

I hope I am wrong, but lets be honest, how many times has someone wished a "Light gets Turned On" and then that happens? 1 out of 1,000?

Well, I'm not sure Carey Price ever had the "Hall of Fame numbers" to warrant higher expectations than what he has delivered so far as a 25-year-old. Never finished top-five in save percentage in any given year, so it's not like he's some regular season dynamo that falls apart in the playoffs. Hell, one of the best goaltenders of the last thirty years, Ed Belfour, didn't even have a job in the NHL until he was Carey Price's age, so the way I see it, everything Price has done so far in his life is just extra credit.

So he'll never be Patrick Roy and Martin Brodeur, who were winning series out of the womb; not every goaltender has to be one of the best ever. Price had two bad games against a team that is much better than a typical 7th seed. It's not the end of the world, and as we saw in Game 2, he's one great game away from pulling the team even in the series.

I don't understand the criticism. Goalies go up and down. Nature of the position.

I just want to point out how intriguing this title is. I couldn't pass it up.

Price has gone from "anointed" one, to backup, to All-Star. I agree that he has a lot of talent, but I'm not sure about the HoF. Who knows though? Even Marty had an "off-year" not long ago.

Inferior talent? Seems to me the Bruins,Pens,Flyers,Rangers,Sens were far from inferior.IMO,every team in the league would pursue him,with his credentials if the Habs were to give up on him.
