After the generous, and I mean ENORMOUSLY GENEROUS, strike zone the Cardinal pitchers got yesterday, you'd think that Contreras would be a little more tolerant of the strike zone today. As a catcher, a position that is so dependent on having a good repertoire with the home plate umps, you'd think he would be more in tune with the bigger picture. The Cardinals have had winning seasons forever and now this, his first year replacing Yadi Molina as the Cards starting catcher, and suddenly the Cards' team is under .500 and the pitching staff is under-achieving. Maybe this dipshit needs to take a step back and re-evaluate.

If someone told me that the Mariners would be 10-12 after 22 games with Jarred Kelenic hitting .319/.377/667 with 5 HRs, I would not believe you.

Listening to Goldsmith call this game was nauseating. I don’t care if he is from St. Louis, you chose the Mariners so get the Cardinals out your mouth. When they were hitting it was Cardinal story and statistic after another. Then when they were pitching it was cardinal story after story, dude is annoying.

Wong's 3 hits couldn't make up for his 3 run error (though not an actual error in the books).

Flexon can't be rostered anymore. Move on.

Cal can't hit cleanup. Takes too many fastball strikes.

Yeah, I think that kind of is the consensus. Everyone and their mother said the Mariners didn’t need a big bat if Kelenic could just live up to the hype.
