Disappointing for sure. This Lewis guy is now my least favorite player.
For Sure!
We are now regulated to picking up the Browns castoffs?
I would rather take a chance to develop the next Matt Flynn from UDFA than pickup Lewis. If Schwartz has a idea he will run the wildcat then go sign Tebow and make him a slash type player and get him reps at H-Back.
But in the end I think we are arguing over a guy that if he gets time will be on the developmental squad!
I don't see what the fuss is all about. Lewis has proven a lot more in this league than Moore has. He's bigger, stronger, faster more athletic and throws the ball better. He's has an actual NFL start under his belt.
IMO Lewis > Moore. If that's the case then good move. If we can still land an even better developmental 3rd QB then all the better for us, but as long as Lewis is better than Moore then the move makes sense.
IMO Lewis > Moore. If that's the case then good move.
If the Lions were looking for 1 a starter or 2 a backup then it would be a good move. But since Lewis will neither be a starter or the backup I would have like to have seen the Lions swing for the fence with a developmental guy.
To me the upside for Carder > than the upside of Lewis. This happens to be an area the Lions can take a developmental guy.
Now if the Lions are thinking about the Wildcat then this makes sense but the roster spot will be tough.
