True, but we can hope. There really isn't anything he brings to the table that we need. I'd rather bring in a cheap skilled forward to take his place.

I completely agree. He adds nothing but dumb penalties to this team.

if hartnell goes back to old hartnell (aka playoff hartnell) then we dont need carcillo.. for some reason there were many ocassions where carcillo was playing like hartnell was supposed to..

but i agree, i'd rather keep powe then keep carcillo.. even though powe has kinda faded on me, i thought he'd be a lot better

i hope nodl makes the team in the fall.. he's my new young guy that i root for to succeed.. he played extremely well in the couple games he played in the playoffs, very sound defensively and worked his tail off

Nodl worked his way back up to neutral status for me. Yes, he was decent in this year's playoffs. The 2008-09 season, though, we pulled him up a few times over the year for injuries and whatnot. He was the worst guy on the team for +/- for the SEASON at -11 in 11 games played. That's pretty freaking bad.

he played w/ mediocre-bad players.. i cant remember who it was but he was on the 4th line when he came up.. not entirely his fault, but he didnt pull them up by any means

I think he played with lieno and JVR a few times, not 100% sure though.

in the playoffs he did play with leino and jvr.. our 4th line kinda disintegrated in the playoffs and nodl/powe kinda rotated through the lineup, with betts and lappy playing a little less during even strength.. 2 seasons ago i forget who he played w/

he did a little.. i remember seeing the trio together with leino taking faceoffs.. leino actually took a decent amount of faceoffs in the playoffs (going off memory).. i dno if that was cause he was better at them then briere on one side, or if briere got tossed that many times

Just double checked his stats. Apparently he got 38 games in 08-09 and ended -15. That's bad, but not nearly so terrible as the -11 in 11 that I remember. Checking his game log, there's no stretch where he was -11 in 11 games. Wonder where I remember that from?

he may have been out there with leino and jvr at the same time.. but very rarely.. nodl moved around a good amount when he played his couple of games in the playoffs.. mostly to give a guy an extra breather here and there.. didnt really stick to a certain line, at least not from what i saw

I saw this too Scott and it's totally ridiculous. Then again maybe he's comparing it to the contract Jody Shelley signed.
