I remember not too long ago the Junkies and some of the fanbase wanted the Caps to trade him.

My brother did after last off season and he played ice hockey. I was less advanced, I played street hockey. LOL

They have been saying for years now that players his age start to decline.

Great game against the Pens. Both teams played back to back and won on their back to back. I still fear Samsanov is not playing with confidence which is what you want every goal tender to have heading into the playoffs.

The roster is old, slow and the goaltending is subpar. They are destined for a first round exit, unless they bring up a lot of the youngsters and play more disciplined in front of their net.

May very well be the last hurah with this group. They have enough talent to make a run at the ECF imo.

Hard to get past Florida or Carolina. Hell, even the Rangers look tough, buoyed by that goalie who is playing like his hair is on fire.

I was holding out hope they would pull the trigger on a trade for Fleury but it didn't happen. The greatest chapter in Caps history is probably coming to an end, but nobody wants to see Ovi in the first round.

Just need Vanecek to get hot. I still dont trust Samsonov.

Both Sammy and VV have moments when they are good and others when they are bad. Disappointed to see Fleury went to Minnesota.

The thing with Ovi is that if you keep the Caps off the power play they are much easier to beat. We need Mantha to start getting hot (which could happen) and Oshie to start making plays (might not happen), to take the pressure off of Ovi.

If you look at florida, colorado, carolina - they have scoring up and down the lineup and good goaltending.

It’s gonna be tough watching the caps rebuild in a year or two, especially as Ovi reaches and probably breaks the goal scoring record - but it needs to happen.

Yeah, that's gonna suck, especially considering the way the Nats are being run. Countdown has begun to letting Soto walk.
