Still don't have a regulation loss, but @Sportster 72 you told me last playoffs we didn't have a net minder. Still looks to be the case. Kuz is back and Ovi looks good. Tough loss tonight.

Sammy makes spectacular saves and lets in easy goals. VV gives up too many rebounds and I had the way he squats and leaves the top of the net open. Hopefully one gets better as the season goes on.

Detroit kept the Caps from making a line change in OT ... tough ending. Still not a bad start.

All three won a Cup. Scott was on three Cup winning teams.

Langway - old school defensive player two time Norris Trophy winner

Stevens - one of the hardest hitters in the game. Great defenseman and had offensive skills too.

Carlson - the most gifted offensively.

JMO but if I could have only one it would be Scotty.

Yup! 100% correct.

Mike Green was almost a liability in the defensive end, I believe.

Scott Stevens was a fantasitic defender, but didnt score much if I remember correctly, and same with Langway. I remember him literally bear hugging forwarda and driving them directly into the boards.

Stevens had 196 goals. Not Carlson or Green but not bad for a guy that could play rock solid D.

Zach Fucale getting the start in goal tonight. The first thing I have noticed is when he gets down on one knee like VV does, he isn't only 2 1/2 feet tall.

Also, I dont particularly want Ovi to go past Brett Hull in an opponent’s rink.

Shutout in his 1st NHL game. Incredible, he was good for the first 10 minutes, the entire team was good the rest of the way ... excluding the PP.
