Anyway, yeah, HBO has highlighted the genuine dislike these two teams have for each other, and that will look good on HBO. But I more meant the actual game. Didn't have any really great moments IMO.

Maybe they should have had the Sabres vs Bruins game. The score was 7-6 after a shootout, That would get the casual fan's attention. That would have been 49 - 42 using the NFL scoring and assuming all of the scoring was touchdowns.

500 shouldnt be a problem. Just buy older skates. Theres some good pairs that were 300-400 bucks a year or two ago, but when new models come out that price drops bigtime.

I really disliked this game. Not just because it was a loss, but because it was insanely frustrating. Apparently I was too caught up in the 'magic' when the Pens were in the first one and this time, with most of that magic worn off, I was just annoyed. NBCs coverage blew, they cut to horrific angles DURING play (who the hell cuts to a blimp shot from hundreds of feet up just to slowly zoom in during a play? This ain't baseball!), and kept missing the puck with their aerial shot. The ice seemed pretty bad, puck was sticking, lots of sticking, turnovers, misplays, etc. It wasn't a good example of what a game between these two normally looks like. Anyway, it's everyone elses' turn to be in this thing now...I'm done with it. It's still 2 points and too much rides on the ice/weather, and while the Pens didn't play well, I just felt like they were focused more on the environment then the Caps.

I thought the game was just as good as the other games and the overhead view didnt both me besides when it was too slow to follow the puck. Happy I dont buy in to the hyper of player a vs player b games when its a TEAM sport. Even my friend in Pitt that was at the game didnt see the Pens or Caps playing any different of sluggish because of the rain.

Not at all...it's certainly over hyped. And yeah, it was never about the Captains...but I think most hockey fans don't fall into that trap. Been watching long enough to know how it works.

If they were, that's really quite impressive. Never got the impression that there's a lot of hatred between the Caps/Flyers. Is there? I could be wrong.

Call me a bit biased, but all the magic of the WC was in Buffalo with the Sabres/Pens.

Nothing has really matched that type of atmosphere or what an outdoor game is all about.
