Blount was cheap,
Mayo is a great team player with a tough cap hit (last year)
Cannon we waited a year too long to get rid of him (because of all the rookies)

No huge losses there. Pats have been in a lot worse circumstances. They miss Mayo's leadership? Bount I like him but he's wearing down. Hope Lewis can return to form? I'm not comparing them. But little Gronk as a FB or Devlin returns makes Lewis even better. Cannon no need to even entertain his return.

Nobody mentioned Scott Chandler, who was a big disappointment. I look for him to be cut. I already hear that the Jets are interested in reuniting him with Fitzpatrick. If Develin returns intact, he could be used at TE as well as FB, giving Gronk a breather. Also, Mini Gronk (Glenn) would be a versatile addition. One guy I also have in mind is Coby Fleener. The Colts appear ready to let him hit the market. Although he has a penchant for dropping passes, Fleener has always played well against the Pats. BB has a knack for signing players who do well against his team. Wes Welker is the most visible sign of this.

What a TOTAL disappointment Chandler was. I'd take Vernon Davis over him. Davis is a FA and would likely come on the cheap. He has a tendency to drop passes but it least it wouldn't be a Chandler contract.
What a shame I was betting everything Chandler and Gronk were going to light it up this year. I'm still depressed.
