Did you get a center for a decade?
Was it a good pick?

Don't see why you are bitching

Who's bitching? I said it worked out for us. You can throw a dart at a dart board and come up with a good player, but does that mean it was a smart pick? Sometimes you get lucky. Reid AND Frederick would look pretty good about now, no? And we'd still have Williams because we wouldn't have taken Wilcox.

Kiper is not the only one calling it a reach. It was a reach, no question about it. However it was a good reach. Dallas wanted OL in the 1st. When all the OL men worthy or 17 were gone Jerry traded back for pkan B. The reason why it was a good reach is there's was a fair chance he'd be gone before we picked again. Yes Jerry could have gambled and hoped Frederick was there for us in the 2nd but he drafted to fill the biggest need. I liked the pick at the time but I freely admitted we did reach.

I call it a good pick. Morris Claiborne was a reach.

Escobar...16 games...9 catches...Good players that get as many snaps as he did find a way to make more of an impact than that no matter what hand they are dealt.

Taking Escobar in the 2nd round in a year we were changing defensive schemes was one of the dumbest moves ever IMO. Besides injuries, it's why our defense was freaking horrible

It not calling it a bad pick. I'm just saying it was a little bit of a reach. Even though I thought it was a reach I still liked the pick because it addressed one of the 2 biggest needs. I had no problems with the Frederick pick. My complaints last year was taking a TE in the 2nd and the amount we got back in the trade. I think we lost bargaining power when Vacaro went off of the board.

I can agree with a "little bit" of a reach, but to me that really isn't a reach if you get what you want. I get sick of how everyone seems to think it was a huge reach. with all the talk of him being there in the 3rd to 6th round type reach. To me that was horse shit. He wasn't getting out of the 2nd round.
I agree with not being happy with our 2nd rd. pick & the amount we got for the trade back in the 1st.

Hopefully we do better when we trade back this year

A huge reach is taking guys 2 or 3 rounds too high. While I think we may have been able to get Frederick in the 2nd I doubt he'd have been there in the third. As stated I think we could have waited but I would not guarantee it, for that reason I was good with him where we got him. Yes safety was a big need but I felt either a G or C was the biggest need.

I questioned the Frederick pick because I did not know much about him. I wanted Warford.I honestly was not high on Floyd so that did not bother me. After watching some Wisconsin games I liked the Frederick pick. You could tell that he would be a major upgrade over Costa. I still got very pisst when we took Escobar over Warford
