The Panthers blow ass and we played one of the worst games I have seen us play. Even the NE game didn't seem as bad. Yeah, we got killed, but that was just a thorough butt kicking. They came to play, we didn't.

~140 yards of penalties, no run defense to speak of yet again, and missing 3 of our best offensive weapons in AJ Green, M. Jones and Eifert, and don't even get me started on the missed FG.

We needed to play on the line against those WR's because they blow except Benjamin. Jam his ass at the line and then pass him off to Nelson.

Netwon was that entire offense, and we let the guy run all over us because we kept falling for that stupid ass fake pitch. Everyone in the stands knew he didn't trust his RB's enough to pitch it to them. Just hit that big bastard until his head pops off like a rock em sock em robot.

To be fair, Carolina probably wins the NFCS..... Atlanta stinks, Tampa stinks, and New Orleans can't get their shit together.

Cam killed us yesterday. Just killed us. We also made a running back named "Fozzy" look good.

I have no complaints with the offense. They put up 37 and punted once..... While Carolina's D hasn't been good this year, 37 points is impressive given that we played without some major pieces. 37 points should be about 17 more points than this defense used to need.

Never bet on Football I am learning as I play Fantasy Football and watch prime time games. This year is whacked out.

Well, I guess it didn't cost me 600, but cost me from WINNING 600. Money pool.

I can't get a beat on this season to save my life. My Bears are the perfect example of it...they have won every game I thought they'd lose, and lost every game I thought they'd win:noidea: Go figure.

Yeah. Tons of parity in this league. That is why I love football so much. Not like baseball where you can nearly buy yourself a playoff spot. Not in all cases of course, but typically that is the way it goes.

In general yes..... But this year we have the Royals, the Orioles and the Cardinals..... We might have 'temporarily' moved past having to watch the Red Sox and Yankees every year.

Of course this doesn't help us Reds fans. We have 200 million locked up on a head case that will probably never be good again and a few other guys that can't hit.

our kicker has been blowing kicks he used to make easily.

kickers are often underpaid. he could be doing it on purpose so i wouldn't bet on us with points.

No way the competitor in him misses anything on purpose. Unless he is in deep with a bookie.

No way he's shanking kicks on purpose. He just royally sucks. Does anyone ever remember a Bengals kicker who was any good? And don't tell me Jim Breech. Sure he could make a clutch fleld goal from about 42 yards in, but he was subject to be short at 45+, and his kickoffs tended to fall at the 15 yard line.

Maybe Horst (I keek a touchdown) Muhlmann.....

Graham was good up until the point we needed a clutch FG or needed a big time FG in playoff games.

Nugent hasn't been very good this year, but in the past he has been decent and had some pretty big clutch FG's.

Pelfrey also wasn't that bad until later in his career. He fell off the wagon and he fell off of it quick when he did.

Some kickers are consistent season after season.

I must admit kicking field goals is harder than it looks. but when these guys lose it, it's hard to get back.

That's the very definition of bad.

Nugent started revealing his suckage last season. He's not been the same since his injury.

I had forgotten Pelfrey. For a few years he was the best part of some very bad teams.

Almost all of them go through a spell where they lose it.... It reminds me of professional golfers. Same issue.

That's why very few of them make it an entire career with one team. Sometimes it's just time for a change.

If it were just a matter of Nugent pushing kicks right or left, I would give him the benefit of the doubt and hang with him a little longer. I have a feeling it's something worse though.... He's not getting much out of his leg and the weather is warm right now. What will happen when it gets cold outside? Seems like he is pressing because his leg strength has slipped. He's also not giving us a lot of touchbacks and this is about the worst I've seen our kick coverage in the last few years (possibly indicating some poor kick offs).

I liked the kid that they had in camp. That guy had a good leg. And he's looking for a job.

I thought CAR played for a tie in regulation and didn't get what they really deserved for that effort...a loss. Bengals sans a couple of big plays were outplayed for 60 mins and still had a shot to close them out.

I wouldn't say they were outplayed..... Both defenses should be equally embarrassed. The Bengals couldn't stop the read option and the Panthers couldn't stop a bunch of second string receivers.

Quinn Sharp. He kicked at Oklahoma State and was almost automatic. I'd bring him back in a heartbeat.

if there's anyone who can kick at NFL level and we haven't signed him, it just reinforces my belief that our front office is stupider than hell.

no one noticed him shanking kicks until now?

amazing.

Yeah. I liked Sharp. I knew they were going to go with Nugent from past experience. Unfortunately, his past has not indicated the present.
