So much for a new RT
5yrs for 30+mil a yr...
5 years, $32.5M. $14M guaranteed.
Scarneccia has turned this guy around and he's been playing excellent at RT. Brady has not been hit from the outside on the right. He's been hit inside and it's been Mason who's missed the inside block. Before now I would have said this was a horrible move, Sorry BigKen, you would have been wrong. Scar has turned Cannon into the starting RT until 2021. Vollmer is history. See ya.
You saw what happened to the Past line when he retired so I will speak for the rest and say sorry, no.So any way the Pats would be willing to loan their Offensive Line Coach to the Broncos for a few weeks? If he can do that for Cannon I would love to see what he could do with the Broncos group as all of them are looking like Cannon of the past couple of years.

Thanks for asking though LOL

Sure, just let us borrow Derby for 8 weeks.

Solder is at a point where he really can't play the LT position as it needs to played in 2016 and beyond. He's always had slow feet and speed rushers create real problems for him. He doesn't have long arms so a push on a defender doesn't take the defender on a huge circle to get by him. In all honesty, he's becoming a short term back up.
The LT position today requires a person 6'5" -6'7" anywhere from 315-330. Most critical, is that he must have a first step under 1 second. He has to be able to come out of a three point stance moving his left fot before the defender is picking up his rear foot coming forward. If he can't, he has to throw himself in front of the defender or all can do is push the defender's left shoulder. This is where most offensive holding penalties occur because the LT will grab the defender's shirt. Speed is the #1 tool in the LT toolbox. If he doesn't have it, he can't play the position. 44 years of coaching kids has taught me a lot about what a player needs for every position and why. Solder doesn't have many tools left in his toolbox.
