Season Opener for the Caps. Things that might surprise some people, Neuvirth is starting over Vokoun tonight and Matty Perreault is in over Johansson. Should be a good one with the good guys coming out on top, 4-1, Perreault, OV, Brouwer, and Backstrom with the goals :hockey:

honestly... Skinner was the ONLY one on the ice last night who you really noticed when he was out there, always seemed to be a threat.
Even Staal kind of blended in, didn't do a whole hell of a lot.
Ward left on an island many times, can only do so much.
And this AFTER we brought in perennial Norris candidate Kaberle and his shut-down game. :-/
Had a true rookie playing last night on D.. and he LOOKED ike it. I think he may be on the bench tonight.

haven't paid much attention to them this preseason, i guess because no one around here wants to talk anything but redskins and when they do bring up the caps it's all about "cup or bust, boudreau should be fired if they don't win it all, etc." no real analysis.

ah well, it will be an interesting year here for the caps, a proverbial shit hits the fan season.
