To be honest there really isn't any hope for the Isles franchise. When the team is run by people like Wang & Snow the only way they're going to go is down in FLAMES. I can't believe Snow actually said we were fortunate to get this deal. I'm so depressed right now. I actually hope Tavares demands to be dealt in the offseason. As far as I'm concerned until Wang & Snow are gone the team will never do anything. Let me put it this way, I never thought there could be a GM as bad as Milbury. Snow has eclipsed him in my book after today. Yes things are that bad.

I can't agree more. This is just another black eye to a franchise that has been beaten black and blue so badly since the 80's that it isn't even recognizable anymore. The young talent they had on this roster last year was starting to shows signs of actual promise. Players were committed to building this thing the right way and that commitment was starting to bare fruit. They got off to a bad start to this season making adjustments after losing some pieces in the offseason, but they never recovered, and for that the blame is strictly on Jack Capuono. You can blame Snow and Wang for not aiding in adding key pieces to a lineup showing promise and you can blame them for mortgaging the future by sending draft picks the other way. When all of that is added together you get a clear understanding that this franchise is in trouble from the top down. An owner that won't spend, a GM that makes terrible decisions and an ineffective coach. Christ they even had former players helping build this thing by being assistant coaches!I agree that the NHL needs to step in. This is not only embarrassing to the Islanders fans and city, it makes a mockery of this once proud franchise that treats its fans like suckers and expects them to just keep supporting a perpetually bottom feeding dumpster fire.
