We need to do a serious re-evaluation on where Canadian hockey is at. Saw way too many pussies out there today, the biggest one being behind the bench

Aside from Drouin, were there really any highly skilled players on this team? (Mantha had a good tourney as well) Ekblad looks great, but I mean amongst the forwards. McDavid got in Butter's doghouse early and lost all his confidence.

Can't recall ever seeing a Canadian team that outplayed at any level as they were in the third period.

I think the biggest pussies are the ones that scream "re-evaluate hockey in canada" when canada loses

16 players eligible to return next year???

Its a 19 year olds tournament ... What do u expect if kids keep being sent

I agree with jstew, disappointing effort today, but it is a very young team as well, next year if a bunch of guys return, that team could be very good.

/New coach please.

Canada's a very young team and this a young mans tournament, to expect them to be perfect is something that you shouldn't be sitting on your hands for

That being said, a new coach should be behind the bench for them next season - too predictable with Brent Sutter

Finland is usually happy taking home the bronze, so they'll be elated taking home silver after Sweden curbstomps them tomorrow.

/Sweden would have curbstomped Canada as well.

Yup, I would have rather seen CZE for the retribution factor alone. Finns are a scrappy bunch, kudos to them.

I don't think this years Canadian team was that good at forward compared to the last few teams. Last years team was loaded up front. The selection process got much more difficult when MacKinnon & Monahan weren't allowed to be a part of the team. That's the toughest thing for Canada every year. They don't know how many of these kids are going to make NHL rosters.

That wasn't pretty hockey from Canada's side. The names I knew didn't impress me too much throughout this tourney. I didn't get to watch every game, but considering the team Canada's I'm used to seeing, they certainly lacked something. They weren't big on physicality, which is okay on international ice, but it seemed like they didn't have enough skilled guys to make up for that? I'm just guessing really, based on what I saw. Laughton didn't really impress me, Drouin had moments, no one on D shined really (disappointing to a Pens fan with Pouliot), McDavid certainly is handsy, and he'll only get better, just showed youth this tourney. Fucale impressed me of course, and I liked Lazar as well. I guess there wasn't a moment where I was really blown away by the squad.
