You didn’t really answer my question. Based off of what you have seen from Prescott in his first two years...if his contract ended today... would you tag him, or give him a multi year, almost but not quite #1 QB money???

Its a duplicitous question. If Daks contract ended today, yes you give him an extension. No you dont make him the highest player in the league.

Two years ago, the Redskins SHOULD have given Cousins the extension he was asking for which at the time would NOT have made him the highest player in the league even at that time.

By tagging him, Bruce artificially inflated his price. Now thanks to Bruce, Cousins will likely be the highest paid player in the league.

And in two years, If Prescott maintains his level of play, odds are the Cowboys will have to either make him the highest paid player in the game or close to it. Thing is, I dont see Jerry playing the I bet you cant do it again game. Jones has his flaws, not taking care of his own is not one of them.
