However this board is becoming unreadable...I feel that some of you will hate on Smith just because and this is wrong. We are all (supposedly) Redskins fans, can we please cheer for our team and stop bitching and moaning about Cousins. I mean seriously, ya'll are killing this board. Cousins didn't want to be here, the FO tried to sign him and he wouldn't even sit down to the table. They did their best to give the team a quarterback who can potentially take us to the playoffs and some of you guys continue to hate. You guys are acting like a guy who just got dumped by a perfect 10 when all your boys are telling you she was a 7.

Lets draft the NT in round 1 and one of the RBs from UGA in round two. Maybe sign Sammy Watkins and build our team.

VT .. sorry you get the fall out. But some of us who "wont give up" have spent the past three years watch all these elated fans dissect Cousins mainly because they couldn't give up on the last guy. We spent the last year hearing how any one could do it, we go out and over extend on a QB that MIGHT be better, and most of these guys are now defending a move that was a classic Snyder type move.

I for one am looking forward to doing exactly what I saw other posters do to the last QB.. dissect his every throw and point out his every flaw if he in fact is NOT elite and brings us a Lombardi.

My take is

What are Smiths real numbers
If he doesn't lead us to the Playoffs and win a Playoffs game, I will be a dick about it.

The ABC got what they wanted. So I don't want to hear any excuses about the defense, lack of talent or injuries.

We got a BETTER QB, so I expect better results.

I wouldn’t expect much better results unless some of the defense improves and the running game is better. Once again, I don’t think most of us think Smith is light years ahead of Cousins or even better... more like equal. I would put us right now at 8-8 next year with the team we have got.

I'm not against leaving the Cousins drama behind. I am against trying to make it seem like the FO did all it could to sign him, but he wasn't having it. They low-balled the shit outta him.....a couple times. So lets not revise history to try and make the ass0s in our FO look like something they are not.

Except there was no effort by the front office to sign KC. If the FO was being serious, they would have fucking emailed a legit offer to him if they had to. Instead, they wanted KC to come to the table during the offseason and take time away from family.

You know I really feel bad for the Snyder era redskins fans. As much as you rant and rave about Snyder, every time he tries to take one of these short cuts to greatness, you boys swallow it hook like and sinker.

It’s disheartening how the narrative started changing about half way through the Alex Smith trade thread…by ones who like to name call some Redskins fans as “ABC’rs.”

There may be one or two who stated Smith was “better”, or “slightly better” than Cousins…but, not many bros and gals.

It seems those said name callers, have completely gone off the rails on this one…and, that’s pretty sad considering I have always had respect for many of those fellow Redskins posters. It’s OK guys, it really is.
