Can someone explain why Cleveland wants to trade Josh Gordon?

Richardson I get.... He might suck and that was probably a good move.

Gordon? The guy still has two years left on his deal after this season and only costs 5 million total. And it's hard to say you're getting as good a receiver in the draft. Unless the plan is to get as many first rounders as possible to ensure trading up into the top 2 to get a franchise qb, I simply don't understand.

It's also hard for me to figure that TB and Jax will be willing to trade this draft season.

I think it mainly comes down to character issues. 1 more strike and he gets a year long suspension. That's the not reason I can figure.

The suspension issue as already mentioned. The current Front Office people didn't draft him and probably weren't bullish on him early in the season (i read somewhere Lombardi slammed the supplemental pick they used on him in the media last year, but not sure of that)

At this point they have to consider him a young, top ten caliber WR, and for him to get traded the offer will have to match that type of value. I can't see him going for anything less than at least a 1st and a 3rd

John Clayton said the Patriots should trade Ryan Mallet and a 2nd rounder for him. Depending on how you feel about Ryan Mallet, that could be a damn good trade for the Brownies.

Here's the problem with that...you're trading the best offensive weapon on the team for a QB...it's like robbing peter to pay paul...No QB with a good WR and then going to a QB (who could be good, no one knows) and giving up on a good WR.

Yeah, they still have Cameron, but I think a big part of the succes the offense had under Hoyer was Gordon's ability to stretch the field in addition to Cameron patroling the middle.

I think Jason Campbell will be a good QB for the Browns as long as they keep Gordon.

I am actually more worried about our second meeting with the Browns now that Campbell is starting.
