Can NDs Kelly do math?

With two minutes on the clock at the 2or 3 yard line, Kelly decides to try for a TD. A field goal would require Florida State to get two touchdowns, 2 2-point conversions and 2 onside recoveries. Probably at less than 1/100 of 1% of a chance. But with 2 minutes to go, now they would need a 2 TDs , 2 2-2 point conversions and 1 onside recovery. Not likely (and did not happen) but probably a 1% or 1.5 % chance. The point is a field goal guaranteed victory.
My guess is Kelly had ND on a bet and knew the spread was 20.5.
