Catching AZ is going to be tough, but at least we're ahead of 1998's pace as far as the Wild Card Race goes. In 1998, we were 5 back of the Cubs with 9 to play. Right now we are 4 back of the Braves with 9 to play. Braves aren't looking good right now and are limping to the finish line. We do have the Cards to contend with, too, and the Red Birds are red hot right now and get to face the Met, Astros and Cubs to close out the season. It is going to be tough, but I'm happy that the Giants are still playing meaningful games.
