Man this society is so sensitive. I found nothing wrong with his comments. Can it sound bad if you spin it the right way? Sure, but I don't think there was any malice in his words.

If I woman (even a sports reporter) came up to me and started spouting off football lingo in detail, I'd chuckle too, not because I'm sexist but because it's just something you don't hear very often.

Get a grip people

Everyone is saying that he just should have said 'reporters' instead of 'female', but I think that is a lot of hindsight thinking because he wasn't speaking with malice in my opinion.

To your point Skerpokes, (And a lot of people mean really mean this when they say 'funny') if he just said 'odd' I think his comment is not taken the way the way that it was, because it is uncommon to hear a woman talking about routes.

I think he should have explained it this way and apologized for any misunderstanding of what he actually meant, because when I heard him say 'funny' I took it as if he meant it was something odd or uncommon.
