He's just practicing his slashes so when Franzen comes to down, he doesn't knock any teeth out.

See, it's funny because he's tall, and... you know, if he gave him a regular slash, it would be too high, so if he gets on his knees then it won't be too high...

Come on, you love Noodles jokes!

Yeah, I do...I believe he's looking for work (Flames let it go as goalie coach which freed him up to some analyst work for TSN during the playoffs).

With Osgood's possible retirement, there might be a backup slot open soon...

Tanguay, not so much (yet)
Tanguay, Flames far apart in talks | Flames | Hockey | Calgary Sun

With just days remaining in the countdown to the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and fewer than two weeks left before the free-agent free-for-all, Flames GM Jay Feaster had disappointing news for those hoping to see Alex Tanguay back in Calgary colours for next season.

Negotiations are ongoing, but there apparently are large differences in opinions when it comes to terms between the club and the player who posted 69 points in his return to the Flames last season.

“It’s money,” Feaster said

He had a good year and works well with Iggy - The Flames have too much money invested in the backend and not enough up front. Of course, Sutter gave out NMC's and NTC's like candy, so moving guys won't be easy.

/Thankfully, this is the last year of Sarich's contract ($3.6 million) - Probably in the ballpark that Tanguay is looking to be paid.
